Clark Bar. The Clark Bar is a candy bar consisting of a crispy peanut butter based core enrobed in milk chocolate. It is similar to the Butterfinger and 5th Avenue bars. Introduced in 1917, it has been manufactured by the New England Confectionery Company (Necco) since 1999.

The Milky Way bar was created in 1923 by Frank C. Mars and originally manufactured in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The name and taste were taken from a famed malted milk drink (milkshake) of the day, which was in turn named after the Earth's galaxy.
