This is a gorgeous antique wooden cigar mold made in Holland circa 1920-1930's. It is marked L Bezemer & Zn, Helmond, Holland, No 2317, 265.
These molds were used to shape & compress the tabaco before they were wrapped in the final leaf. This one holds 20 cigars. It is constructed of wonderful patinated pine, showing the marks from the press used to compress the mold. Dimensions are: 9 cm (3.5'') wide on top (the cigar size) X 55 cm (19.7'') wide X 7 cm (2.8'') high |
